Buy Books For Library Angel Trees
Putnam County libraries are looking for some angels to help out with their Angel Book Trees at the five libraries.
Each year at Christmas books are given to children, some of whom may never have owned a book of their own.
This year more than 50 of the angels marked with children’s names, ages and genders remain on the trees. Deadline is Nov. 23 but the libraries will continue to accept book donations until Wednesday, Nov. 30.
The books will be given out at the holiday parties at the Lee Conlee House and for the children in Foster Care and Protective Management.
Children’s books of all types are needed from board books for little ones to chapter books. The libraries will help you match your book to a child. If you don’t have time to shop, you also can drop off a check (payable to the Putnam County Library Board Inc.) and the library staff will do the shopping for you.
