Woman’s Exchange hosting The St. Augustine Table
SAINT AUGUSTINE – The Woman’s Exchange of St. Augustine presents Dinner in the Garden: The St. Augustine Table with Celebrity Chef Tyrone Bennett from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Pena-Peck House, 143 St. George St.
The dinner will follow CDC Guidelines for Covid.
Local Chef Tyrone Bennett, founder of We Feed St. Augustine, will be creating an intimate, multi-course gourmet dinner celebrating local ingredients and St. Augustine history.
Included are Fish Island Stuffed Shrimp -St. Augustine Shrimp with local peppers; Treasury Street Seared Scallops – lump crab, lemon, cream; Monkfish Lincolnville – bacon, watercress rutabaga puree; Dr. Peck’s Braised Quail – creamy polenta, snow peas; Governor Tonyn’s Trifle pumpkin, sweet potato, caramel.
Donation is $100.
Profits benefit the Woman’s Exchange Scholarship Program for women 30 and older. Imagine you’re a single mom. Or maybe your spouse is disabled or deployed. Or you’re “stuck” in a job with no future. Now imagine that you and your family’s situation would be drastically improved if you could finish that nursing degree or maybe get your accounting license.
A note about safety: Out of an abundance of respect for everyone’s health and well-being, all CDC guidelines with regard to COVID-19 will be observed. These include, but not limited to, maintaining a safe distance between tables and guests and requiring that all guests wear masks when not seated.
