Lilac don’t care for Florida

Q: Can lilac be grown here?

 A:  Florida is too far south for lilac to grow and flower well.

 Q:  What are some smaller types of magnolia trees?

 A:  For the dark leaves and rusty underside look of the Southern magnolia, try Little Gem or St. Mary’s. They do not get as tall and as wide as regular magnolias.
