Chill Out At Ravine Gardens Dec. 10
Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka turns into a winter wonderland Dec. 10.
You can get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy some time outdoors with the family as The Friends of Ravine Gardens presents Caroling The Ravines featuring luminaries by the Pilot Club of Palatka.
Hundreds of luminaries will line the coquina fountain area, and a light show will be featured in the park’s Court of Flags from 6 to 9 p.m. The winter wonderland comes alive with holiday music and imitation snow accompanying the light show.
Singers are featured as part of the live entertainment. Local vendors will have items for sale. Kids will enjoy games and crafts designed for them and have a chance to visit with Santa.
The popular wagon tours will take visitors around the ravine. Food truck vendors will be on hand to satisfy hunger pangs.
Cost of admission is $2 per person or $5 per family. That covers up to eight people in a vehicle.
The luminaries are a long-standing tradition. People buy them In Memory or for Season’s Greetings to remember or honor family and friends. Luminaries will be for sale for $5 each. Money raised goes for local civic projects for the Pilots.
