Sponsors Sought For March Vilano Run

The North Shores Improvement Association (NSIA) at Vilano Beach has announced dates for its 21st Annual Vilano Bridge 5k Run/Walk- Saturday, March 18, 2017 beginning at 8 a.m. at the North Shores Community Center. This annual event raises funds for NSIA, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, charged with sustaining and improving the quality of life for the local communities. Past race proceeds have supported important community center improvements and this year, since our community was so severely affected by Hurricane Mathew, a portion of race proceeds will be shared with a local disaster relief organization, The American Red Cross.

NSIA is reaching out to key area business to seek partners for the event. Last year’s event drew over 500 area runners plus their families and friends and served as an important promotional opportunity for our sponsors.

Being a sponsor for the Vilano Bridge 5K serves several important purposes. It actively demonstrates commitment to the Vilano Beach community and its residents. The race draws active area participants who are customers for your business and there are numerous opportunities to leverage your sponsorship dollars- including inclusion in online and race day promotion, your logo on the commemorative race T-shirt and your promotional materials in race registration packets. The after-race event is another opportunity to reach this customer base. Race organizers are now working with the leading local road race management group and running shop, First Place Sports to promote and manage the event.  This has greatly extended the reach and field of runners and walkers.
