Exchange Spring Luncheons Set
The Woman’s Exchange of St. Augustine is taking reservations now for its annual Spring Luncheon series held in the garden of the historic Peña-Peck House. The Woman’s Exchange also debuts Miss Anna’s Boutique of new spring and summer merchandise, during the luncheons.
The dates are: Tuesdays, March 21, 28, April 4 and 11, and Fridays, March 24, 31, and April 7.
“The popularity of the luncheons means that they sell out quickly so we encourage our patrons to make their reservations as soon as possible,” said President Judy Riggle. “We do create waiting lists, however, for spaces that may open up if there are cancellations.”
She said the luncheons are a St. Augustine tradition dating to the 1940s when the city was a popular destination for winter visitors from the Northeast. They would join with local women for the weekly luncheons prepared by the members
The lunch is $31.95 per person, sales tax included. The menu includes a full meal with dessert, coffee or tea, plus a $5 coupon to be used for shopping that day on a $10 minimum purchase. Guests may bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with lunch. Wine glasses are provided on request. Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Woman’s Exchange during shop hours at (904) 829-5064. Credit cards are accepted for payment.
The Woman’s Exchange in the Historic Peña-Peck House is located at 143 St. George St., just north of Cathedral Place. The Exchange is open Monday through Saturday, 10:30-5 p.m., and Sunday, 12:30 to 5 p.m. Tours are offered Sunday through Friday, 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations are gratefully accepted for the tours.
