Soap making workshop at COA

A “Soap Making Workshop” was held recently at THE PLAYERS Community Senior Center, 175 Landrum Lane, Ponte Vedra Beach as a result of a previous grant received from St. Johns County Cultural Arts Council.

“The Art of Silk Scarf Painting,” which was held in November, 2016, was such a success that a few of the participants requested the opportunity for another creative project.  The instructor who taught “The Art of Silk Scarf Painting” waived her instructor fees so that the unused monies would be used for supplies needed for a soap making workshop.

Mary Vastola, owner of Ponte Vedra Soap Company agreed to hold a two-hour soap making workshop and the balance received from St. Johns County Cultural Arts Council was used for soap making supplies.
