WOMEN’S NETWORKING

The next meeting of the Women’s Networking Luncheon group continues from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 15 at Terra and Acqua, 134 Sea Grove Main St., St. Augustine Beach. Cost is $15 plus tip The chef will prepare a meal with meat and a vegetarian meal.

PILOT CLUB

Dr. Jeanne Prickett, president of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, will be guest speaker at 6 p.m. Feb. 15.15 for the Pilot Club of St. Augustine’s monthly program meeting at Applebee’s..

The international relations area is in charge.

Area leader Consuelo Lippi requests that those attending either wear or bring something representing another country.

BROADCASTING HISTORY

“Towers in the Sand: The History of Florida Broadcasting” will be presented at 6:30 p.m. March 2 in the Flagler Room of Flagler College by the St. Augustine Historical Society.

The gathering begins with a book signing by Don Colee Jr.

The talk begins at 7 p.m.

Colee is a seventh generation Floridian and a second generation Florida broadcaster. He began his career as a teenage disc jockey in Orlando, and after service in the U.S. Navy he worked in advertising and public relations before resuming his broadcasting career at the CBS television station in West Palm Beach.

PV WOMAN’S CLUB

The Ponte Vedra Woman’s Club will host a luncheon/lecture by SCORE representative Elizabeth Pampalone from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 21 at JJ’s Liberty Bistro, 330 A1A North, No. 209, Ponte Vedra Beach. Her topic is “How to Start a Small Business on a Budget.”

Friends of First Coast Opera are sponsoring a luncheon/fashion show at 11:30 a.m. March 9 at Raintree Restaurant. Fashions will be provided by Cottonways and modeled by members of the Friends of First Coast Opera
