Fuller’s FAQs – Beach ground cover
Question: I live at the beach and would like to know if there is a type of herb that I could use as a ground cover. I would prefer something that might be fragrant. Do you have any suggestions.
Answer: If the area is sunny, use rosemary. It is drought and salt tolerant. If planted near a walkway, it will release its scent when brushed against.
Q: What are some herbs I can plant in a sunny window box at the beach?
A: As long as the window box is out of direct salt spray, on the west side of the house, you could try parsley, rosemary, dill, basil or chives.
