Ravine Gardens sets photo contest

PALATKA– The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Ravine Gardens State Park and the Friends of Ravine Gardens, Inc., will host a Photo Contest each month in 2017 with a different theme. “Spring” is the photo theme for April. Bring your camera and explore the park to get the perfect shot.

Monthly submissions will be open the first Saturday of each month, and run until the last Saturday of the month. Along with recognition, the winner will be awarded two, day entry passes good for Florida’s 174 award-winning state parks, trails and historic sites, up to 8 people for most parks, and be automatically be entered to win a grand prize at the end of the 2017 Photo Contest term.

Photographs must be taken within Ravine Gardens State Park. You may submit up to two photos. All photographs must be submitted in a digital format (in either a .jpg, .tif, or .png format) submitted by email to Chanell.Guillaume@dep.state.fl.us. Digital photographs must be a minimum resolution of 1024×768 (or higher) pixels. Contestants must also complete a Photo Release Form upon entry, which can be found online at, bit.ly/releaseform-rgsp.
