Musical program at Lightner

SAINT AUGUSTINE –   Usher in spring at April’s Lightner After Hours  event for an evening of enlightening conversation, exceptional music and tasty morsels in Lightner Museum’s beautiful lobby and freshly landscaped courtyards, April 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The House Cats play jazz from the 1930’s and 1940’s with some newer stuff and jump blues mixed in. They perform as a quartet featuring Bill Welch on guitar and vocals, Joe Segal on upright bass, Bret Obin on drums and Steven Fox on trumpet. The band has been together in various configurations for almost twenty years and can be seen playing in St. Augustine and Jacksonville on most weekends.

Locals and tourists alike are welcome to enjoy the atmosphere of the Lightner Museum, after hours,  while relaxing with refreshments before visiting some of the many wonderful local restaurants.  Business casual attire is requested.

Café Alcazar, located in the Historic Pool area of the museum will be open with a specialty dinner menu from 6 to 8 p.m. Free parking is available after 5 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.  Donations are requested for beverages.

The Lightner Museum is a non-profit cultural institution sustained by the generous support of individuals, businesses and sponsors.  Donations are appreciated.
