Swimming season begins Memorial Day weekend at the Galimore Community Pool, 399 Riveria St. The 2017 season continues May 26-Oct. 1, with hours for family and lap swimming each day with consideration given to certain YMCA programming including swimming lessons and swim camp.

VILANO MEETING

Vilano Beach Main Street meeting begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday May 17 at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 95 Vilano Road.

Topics include blessing of the boards May 27 and the art walk off the beaten path June 2.

PVWC

The Ponte Vedra Woman’s Club gathers from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18, for socializing and information about the club. Information: Teri, 904-285-1474.

The club’s monthly meeting continues from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, May 22, at the Sawgrass Country Club Golf Clubhouse. Speaker will be Chris Hoffman, executive director fhthe Beaches Museum and History Park.
