The Memory Enhancement Program is in full swing at Ponte Vedra Memory Care Center

This COA Integrative Memory Enhancement Program at the Ponte Vedra Memory Care Center has openings for enrollment. Class size is limited to 10 participants; fee for service with subsidies available for those who qualify. IN ST. AUGUSTINE:

The Council on Aging and AARP will sponsor a class for mature drivers (55 and over).  Driving is a skill that can and should be continually improved. A driver improvement course can help senior drivers keep driving knowledge fresh and get the most out of your vehicle, while reducing risk to you, your passengers and others on the road.  AARP driver improvement courses may enable you to receive a discount on insurance premiums. The class will be held at River House, 179 Marine St., on Tuesday, June 20, 9 a.m. – 3 p..m. (30 min lunch break).

UltraShred Technologies specializes in providing onsite document shredding to residents, businesses, health care facilities, institutions, and schools. They are an independently owned company and have been helping customers “Go Green” since 2000. All shredded materials are transported to a recycling plant for processing. UltraShred has been generous in donating a shredding bin at River House (179 Marine Street) from May 17 through June 28. If you have any private documents to be shredded please stop by Monday through Thursday from 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. Cost is $5 per grocery size bag with a maximum of 3 bags per person. If you would like to be a part of an interesting discussion group, come to Socrates Café!  Meetings are at River House, 179 Marine St., on Mondays from noon-1:30 p.m., and Fridays at Coastal Community Center, 180 Marine St. from 1-2:30 p.m. This is to discuss questions raised by participants. There is no cost to River House Activity Members and a $4 per meeting cost for non-members.
