Notes from the City of St. Augustine

The Bridge of Lions 5K Run, set for Saturday, July 15 starting at 7:30 a.m., will necessitate brief traffic interruptions along Avenida Menendez, the Bridge of Lions, and on streets throughout Davis Shores on the north side of Anastasia Blvd.

Traffic along Avenida Menendez and the Bridge of Lions should return to normal by 8 a.m. and the entire race concluded by 9:00a a.m.m. To avoid delays, the public may wish to use alternate routes during the race.  For more information, including a map and video of the race course, visit www.bridgeoflions5k.com.

Next week the City of St. Augustine will be performing work to clean and install lining in the sanitary sewer main in sections of Davis Shores. The work will be performed Monday-Wednesday-Friday, July 17-19 between 8 am and 6 pm each day.

Days of work and locations are:

Monday, July 17: Alley way north of Flagler Blvd.

Tuesday, July 18: Arrendondo Ave. and Comares Ave.

         Wednesday, July 19: Alley way south of Flagler Blvd.

Schedule may be altered because of weather conditions.

 The Raisin Cake Orchestra, a jazz ensemble that meshes the melodies and rhythms of the Dixieland and Prohibition Era, will be featured at 7 p.m. July 20 in   Concerts in the Plaza’s free two-hour concerts are held every Thursday at 7:00pm through the end of August.
