Here’s the scoop on daylilies
Q: I want to plant daylilies in the front of my home. Are there some varieties that are better than others?
A: You will want an evergreen variety of daylily. Other types are deciduous and will die back in winter. In that place you will want a plant that stays green year round. When purchasing the plants ask for ones that are evergreen varieties.
Q: Should I cut the old flower stems from my daylilies?
A: If you leave the stems on the plant you may get seed production. This takes a lot of energy from the plant. If seeds are not desired cut off the bloom scapes.
