Fundraising luncheon, walk steady among area organization events

 

SAINT AUGUSTINE –  Tuesday, Oct. 17 from, 11:30 am to 2 pm, Friends of First Coast Operainvite are hosting  luncheon at Terra and Acqua on Anastasia Island in Sea Grove.  Donation is $35.
Guests will enjoy a house salad, wood-fired-oven bread, classic pasta with Bolognese and Penne Salmone and Asparagi.  Small cannoli for dessert.
Kathryn Vaughn from Tim’s Wine will discuss the different types of sparkling wines with tastings for everyone.  Also planned is  a free raffle of some of these “bubblies” as well as two tickets to First Coast Opera’s “Haunting Melodies” Oct, 27 at the Armory on San Marco.

WALK STEADY

SAINT AUGUSTINE: The St. Johns County Falls Prevention Coalition, in conjunction with National Falls Prevention Day, is getting ready for the 2017 Walk Steady expo on Saturday, Sept. 23. Join in the fun at the Solomon Calhoun Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and take part in the mile walk, health screenings, balance assessments, and demonstrations!

Plus there will be complimentary healthy snacks and door prizes.
