‘Take Cover’ providing fundraiser music

SAINT AUGUSTINE –Stephanie Kinsey, DDS, owner and founder of Palencia Dental

along with support from patients, sponsors, friends and family will hold a fundraising event with the third annual “Filling the Gap” event on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Pioneer Barn at the Old Florida Museum, 259 San Marco Ave.

The party will feature live music by Take Cover, a high-energy dance band and Uppity Art as the top sponsor. Key sponsors include Ancient City Accounting, First Coast Wealth Advisors, Orthopedic Associates of St. Augustine, Stat Courier, and Transworld Business Advisors. In kind sponsors are Burkhart Sales and Service, Cousart Studios, and Thrivent Financial. The event cost is $75 per person and includes drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. Corporate and private sponsorships are available along with a request for silent auction items. Donations and sponsorships are tax deductible on behalf of Filling the Gap, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. For more information, call Katrina Denny at 904.826.4343 or visit the website at www.fillingthegap.org

According to Kinsey, the fundraising efforts are expanded this year as the practice is a community partner with the ALS Association (Lou Gehrig’s disease). ALS claimed the life of  Kinsey’s father last year.

Additionally, the event continues to support the Wildflower Clinic, which provides free medical and dental care to needy individuals and families in St. Johns County. Last year, Filling the Gap helped to fund the Clinic with more than $20,000 in donations. Through the annual event and numerous philanthropic activities, Kinsey contributes to many local non-profits in northeast Florida.
