Sept. 10 dinner benefits HAWKE
SAINT AUGUSTINE – The 20th annual Dinner for the Birds, an event to benefit HAWKE wildlife rehabilitation and environmental education organization, begins at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Raintree Restaurant, 102 San Marco Ave.
In addition to the dinner, a “birds of prey” demonstration will be given by HAWKE President Melanie Cain-Stage , with Poe an albino crow, Athena, the Barred Owl and other critters. If you cannot climb up stairs, you can be seated downstairs and Melanie will bring down the wildlife to your table.
If you cannot make the Dinner any donation to HAWKE would be appreciated.
HAWKE has been there helping wildlife at no cost to the public since 1987 and is a 501 3 c not for profit. The majority of their income depends on memberships and fundraisers to support the rehabilitation of hundreds of injured or orphaned wild birds, mammals, and reptiles each year..
You can become a member for as little as $25 single and $35 for a family.
Vegetarians can call a day ahead to make changes for the Sept. 10 event. A donation of $80 per person or $150 a couple discount for HAWKE members and Non members a donation of $85 or $160 per couple includes \ the tip.
The dinner is limited to 56 people and pre paid only. Call 904 692 1777 or email helphawke@windstream.netto get a seat ASAP. Inform HAWKE days ahead of ahead of time if you have a group and want seats together at the same table

Lobster Bisque
Organic Greens, Goat Cheese, Pancetta Crackling

Petite Pork Shank Osseo Bucco
On Cauliflower Mash with Seasonal Vegetables
Bourbon Street Bread Pudding
Vanilla Ice Cream
Ice tea or coffee
Cash Bar Available for not included in price of the dinner
