Payne issues statement on Irma
PALATKA – The local impact of Hurricane Irma was overwhelming, and our community has experienced much loss. My office and I are going to do whatever we can to assist you as we deal with the damage left by Hurricane Irma.
Additionally, I am working with Senator Rob Bradley, Senator Keith Perry, Representative Travis Cummings and Congressman Ted Yoho on getting emergency fuel, food and water to our critically impacted areas.
I would like to thank all of our first responders, utility providers, and County and State officials for all of their hard work. I would also like to thank local churches and non-profit organizations for providing shelter, water and food for those individuals that were impacted. Bradford, Clay, Putnam and Union have been declared a major disaster by Governor Rick Scott.
