SAR honors Flagler County Deputy

Compatriot David Kelsey, President Randall Morris, Sgt. Mike Lutz, and Sheriff Rick Staly.

FLAGLER COUNTY – The Flagler Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution presented Sergeant Mike Lutz with a commendation medal for his service as an outstanding Law Enforcement Officer recently..

“This medal recognizes exceptional service and accomplishments in our community,” president Randall Morris said.

“It is Sergeant Lutz’s hard work and dedication that has made every program he has created or been involved in a success,” Sheriff Rick Staly said, who is also a Son of the American Revolution and a member of the Flagler Chapter.

Sergeant Lutz’s responsibilities include supervising the Marine/Dive unit, the Crisis Negotiations Team, the Neighborhood Watch Program, the Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy, and a member of the Critical Incident Management Team. Sgt. Lutz has been a Law Enforcement Officer for the past 35 years. After serving 20 years with the NYPD, he has worked at the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in 2003.
