Volunteers needed for Anastasia cleanup
SAINT AUGUSTINE – Volunteer at Anastasia State Park working together to clean up our precious beach after Hurricane Irma for #NPLD, on Sept. 30from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Bring your family, friends, students, or coworkers to spend the day outdoors giving back to your community by helping to clean up trash and debris that has washed up on our shores. Participants will also get free entry into the park for the entire day!
Volunteers will be hiking the beach, so please dress comfortably and appropriately. Also, please come prepared with sunscreen, bug spray, a refillable water bottle, and work gloves if you have them. Rubber gloves and trash bags will be provided.
The park is located at 300 Anastasia Park Road . Volunteers meet inside the park under the pavilion at the Island Beach Grill at 9:30 a.m., and finish up around noon. This is a great way to get involved with recovery efforts after the storm and join hundreds of thousands of fellow volunteers for NPLD, the country’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands.
