Pilot Club honors Kay Burtin

SAINT AUGUSTINE – Kay Burtin is the 2017 Ambassador of the the Pilot Club of St. Augustine. Selected by membership vote, she received her honor Oct. 18, when a membership gathering was held at the home of Jo Brown .

Burtin is a past president of the club. has spearheaded numerous projects since she joined in 1981. A recent major undertaking was moving the club’s war memorial in the Plaza de la Constitucion. The monument pays tribute to those who lost their lives in the service of their country since World War II.

As part of the evening’s gathering, those attended shared memories of their invitation to join the service club and what that membership has meant to them.
