White versus yellow African Iris

Q:    Which is hardier the white or the yellow African iris?

A:    The yellow African iris seems to tolerate more cold than the white.

Q:   I just bought some bearded iris. I have not seen these offered here before. How should I plant and care for them?

A:    Bearded iris will not grow and bloom this far south. I would return them and get my money back. If you must try them, plant them in a bright area out of late day sun.
