Pilots welcome district governor, initiate two at Jan. 3 meeting

A bouquet of yellow roses was presented by Sara Hetherington to Caroline Fallis, in appreciation for Fallis’s visit to the St. Augustine Club.
SAINT AUGUSTINE – Neither rain nor snow nor frigid temperatures kept Florida District Pilot Club Governor Caroline Fallis from traveling from her Quincy home to St. Augustine Jan. 3 for an official visit to the Pilot Club of St. Augustine.
Initiated into the organization on their return to membership were Kay David, sponsored by Rayma Thomas; and Elsie Evans, sponsored by Lynne Stephenson, who is also governor-elect of the Florida District.

Caroline Fallis addresses some of the 21 members of the club and guests at the meeting at Applebee’s.
During her brief address to the St. Augustine club, Fallis encouraged members to run for district offices, she praised the good works of the Pilot Scholarship Houses, located a various universities around the state; and encouraged the club to send information on their activities to the official publications, the Pilot Wave and Log.
