Music by the Sea continues tonight

SAINT AUGUSTINE: The sweet sounds of summer continue as area concerts are spotlighted through Labor Day.

Music by the Sea, sponsored by the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association, continues through Sept. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. and each concert will have dinner available from a local restaurant.

The May 23 concert features Slang featuring music from the 19780s. Scooby Q BBQ will provide food. The concerts are free.

Concerts in the Plaza de la Constitucion, in downtown St. Augustine, begin May 31 and continue until Aug. 30. There is no charge. Those attending should bring lounge chairs for seating. Picnic dinners are popular, but no alcoholic beverages are allowed.  Concerts in the Plaza continue from 7 to 9 p.m. each Thursday during the summer.

First on the list this season is The Driftwoods, May 31, playing bluegrass and beyond.

Music in the Park is presented by Anastasia State Park from 6 to 8 p.m. in the park’s beach pavilion adjacent to Island Beach Grill. There is an open jam session from 5 to 6 p.m. each time. The concert is free with park admission of $8 per vehicle with two to eight persons; and $2 for pedestrians and bicyclist.

The next Music in the Park is June 23, featuring The Conch Fritters featuring island sounds and tropical rock.
