Replanting lilies and hydrangea
Q: I have three Easter lilies that are potted. They are all stem and leaves as the flowers have faded. What can I do with them?
A: You can plant them outdoors or leave them potted. In either case, the plant will die back in the fall, re-emerge next spring and then bloom.
Q: I was given a hydrangea for Easter and I would like to know if I can plant it now or should I wait until fall?
A: You can plant it now as long as you water it regularly for the first few weeks after setting out. Plant it in partial shade or in morning sun. Do not plant it where it will receive the hot late day summer sun.
