Lighthouse listed as terrifying on TV

SAINT AUGUSTINE – The accolades keep rolling in at St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, recently featured on the Travel Channel’s Most Terrifying Places in America, in the Restless Dead episode.

Some of our Lighthouse staff made cameos in the episode: Lighthouse Keeper Rick Cain tends to the First Order Fresnel Lens while telling the story of former Lighthouse Keeper Joseph Andreu, who fell to his death in the first Light Station.

Also featured: Maintenance Staffer David Popp relays the story of a mysterious footprint; Betsy Bewsey and Joyce Duncan, both gift shop staff and Dark of the Moon tour guides, give their impressions of the basement of the Keepers’ House and their supernatural experiences there.

The episode also features a local family, the Pacetti sisters, portraying the three young Pittee girls, who were involved in the accident that occurred when the St. Augustine Lighthouse was under construction.
