Palencia Dental supports Exchange event

 SAINT AUGUSTINE – Stephanie Kinsey, DDS, owner and founder of Palencia Dental recently served as a sponsor for Palencia Women’s Golf Association and the annual member guest Coquina Classic golf tournament with this year’s theme, Under The Big Top. The event was held at The Palencia Club from Nov. 2 – 3.

Kinsey donated to the fundraiser as a hole sponsor for $200 to help support the Woman’s Exchange of St. Augustine and the organization’s scholarship program which assists women with funding as they retool their skills for the workplace. Throughout the year, Dr. Kinsey and the Women’s Golf Association participate in a variety of activities that help women and families in need through the Exchange.

The Woman’s Exchange of St. Augustine, founded in 1892, is a non-profit organization and part of the National Federation of Woman’s Exchanges. Federation members follow in the footsteps of women in the 19th century who began Woman’s Exchanges to help other women who had fallen on hard times. As members, women discretely place their handmade items and home-cooked food in Exchanges for those in need. Some of the original Woman’s Exchanges are still in business today and are members of the Federation including the historic Peña-Peck House, one of St. Augustine’s historic downtown properties.
