Learn about ‘Everything Green’ Dec. 8

SAINT JOHNS – Florida Horticulturist Keith Fuller will discuss  everything green from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Durbin Creek Nursery, 4286 Race Track Road, St. Johns.

Topics include  evergreen trees and shrubs: holly, juniper, cedar, pittosporum, camellias and more. Things to consider: texture, mature size, sun and water requirements, “right plant, right place”. Attendees are invited to bring plant samples for identification or problem analysis.

From St Augustine, take US-1 North and take a left onto Race Track Road. Go approximately 4.6 miles; the nursery is on the left. If you pass D R Horton, you have gone too far. From Route CR-13, turn onto Race Track Road, and go approximately 5 miles. The nursery is on the right shortly after D R Horton.

Information: 904-429-7297; http://www.durbincreeknursery.com.

Nursery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 pm. Monday through Saturday; closed Sundays until spring.
