Historical Society program Jan. 10

SAINT AUGUSTINE – The St. Augustine Historical Society presents “Sparking St. Augustine: The Future of the Past” at 7 p.m. Jan. 10 in the Flagler Room of Flagler College. Speaker will be James P. Beasley, Ph.D.

Beasley is an associate professor of English at the University of North Florida, where he teaches courses in Rhetoric and the Digital Humanities. His book, Rhetoric at the University of Chicago, examines the influence of twentieth-century rhetoricians on the teaching of contemporary composition and is available from Peter Lang Publishers (2018). His work has been published inCollege Composition and CommunicationJGE: the Journal of General EducationRhetoric Review, and Enculturation.  His forthcoming chapter, “Electracy and Community-Based Learning” will be published by Routledge press this  coming year.
