Synagogue welcoming part-time rabbi

SAINT AUGUSTINE –  Rabbi Joel Fox will be at First Congregation Sons of Israel this coming weekend. The Erev Shabbat service for Friday, May 31 is at 7:30 p.m. followed by an Oneg Shabbat sponsored by Rita and Riva Saker June 1, the Shabbat service begins at 10 a.m.  A light kiddush lunch will follow the service and is sponsored by Karen and Maggie Stern.

Beginning Sept. 1, Rabbi Fox will be transitioning from a visiting rabbi to a part-time rabbi at First Congregation Sons of Israel.  He will be leading the High Holy Days observances for both Rosh Hashanna and Yom Kippur and   he will be present for additional  Shabbats, and major Jewish holidays.

Rabbi Fox’s changing to part-time status would not have been possible without so many generous donors.
