Overturf named to state supervisor post

Florida Secretary of State Laurel Lee administers the oath of office to Charles L. Overturf III.

PALATKA – Charles L. Overturf III, supervisor of elections for Putnam County, was recently sworn in to the Florida Supervisor of Elections board of directors as District 4 Supervisor. Overturf, who will represent Putnam, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Alachua, Levy and Marion counties, recited the oath during the annual Florida Supervisors of Elections conference hosted in Daytona Beach.

Overturf and staff participated in discussions with federal, state and other local officials regarding security, election law changes and best practices.
