Poets set scary literary event

SAINT AUGUSTINE – The Ancient City Poets will host a Scary Literary Open Mic event from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at Corazon Cinema and Café, 36 Granada St.

Readers are invited to share poems about harvest Halloween and other horrors. Book prize giveaways will be presented for the most creative costumes.

All are invited to “wear a costume and share poems that relate to the themes of harvest, the ghost in you and the masks we wear.,” according to the invitation.
