Controlling cutworms

Q:  What is the difference between cutworms and grub worms?

A:   Cutworms are a caterpillar and the larvae of a moth. Grub worms are the larvae of a beetle. Caterpillars tend to be more active than grubs.

Q:    I have cutworms feeding in my vegetable garden. Is there a fast and natural method that can be used to control them?

A:  The easiest natural method to control cutworms is to put a collar around each plant. Cut the bottom off of a disposable cup and place this ring at the base of each plant. The cutworms will not climb over it and the plant will be saved.
