Dr. Ahmad honored

PALATKA – This community came out in great numbers July 21 to honor longtime physician Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, M.D., saluting him on his retirement.

Paying tribute were members of Rotary, sheriff’s deputies and medical personnel, along with friends and patients, all of whom formed a long line saluting him on his retirement with a drive-by thank you.

The honored doctor graduated from medical school in 1959, and has some 61 years’ experience in the medical field.
