Seeds from pot to garden

Q: I want to start my vegetables from seed indoors. Are there any vegetables that do not transplant well from pots to the garden?

 A: Basically, vegetables with large seeds do best when planted where they are to grow. Examples are beans, melons, squash and peas.

Q: Which vegetables grow and produce well here during the summer months?

 A: Okra, eggplant, cherry tomato, Southern peas, peppers and sweet potatoes grow in hot weather.
