Leadership St. Johns Event At COA

Ever wonder how Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes decides how many ballots to print and what happens to them once you cast your vote?

Be a part of the 2017 Forward Leadership class and find out.

Designed to equip active adults, age 50 and over, with insights and first-hand knowledge to enhance positive change in the community through advocacy and volunteerism, this six-week program (Wednesdays, Feb.  15 thru March 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) will take you behind the scenes of: education; healthcare; tourism; history; and government in St. Johns County. Meet the movers and shakers who make where you live tick and ask them personally about issues that concern you.

Among other leaders, you will have the opportunity to ask Mayor Nancy Shaver what her visions are for St. Augustine; discuss with Tax Collector Dennis Hollingsworth his perspective on county growth; and Sheriff David Shoar will answer your questions about innovative ways the department is solving crimes.
