Lend a hand at the Council on Aging


The annual Council on Aging Sunshine Golf Tournament begins at 1:30 p.m. March 31 at the St. Johns Golf and Country Club. The Captain’s Choice tournament includes a barbecue buffet awards ceremony. Donation is  $100 per golfer or $380 for a team of four; $32 per person for the buffet only.


Proceeds benefit Council on Aging’s Sunshine Center and Memory Enhancement Program, assisting Dementia and Alzheimer’s patients and their families.  These programs fill a growing need for residents of our community.

Learn simple strategies to give your brain a boost and participate in classes that focus on cognitive stimulation, education and socialization.

The Council on Aging Integrative Memory Enhancement Program is now offered at the Riverview Club in the Shores.  This class meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Class size is limited to 10 participants. SUNSHINE FUND DINNER & DANCE: St. Johns County Agricultural Center, St. Augustine: To drive seniors to and from the First Annual Sunshine Fund Dinner & Dance to be held Saturday, Feb. 25 from 6 – 10 p.m. The purpose of this event is to raise money in the Sunshine Fund for field trips, music, entertainment, educational seminars all for our participants.
