The St. Augustine Lighhouse announces a series of upcoming events beginning with Night Fest and the Lighthouse 5K (4:30 p.m.) and Fun Run (5:30 p.m. ) March 4. This family-oriented event continues from 4 to 8 p.m. Highlights include climbing the tower, children’s crafts live music, visits to the Keepers’ House and much more.
Museum members are welcomed in the VIP tent where free wine and cheese will be available.
March 23, it’s time for a members-only lecture with Ken Smith, who has experience in the restoration of historical structures and has worked on other lighthouses around the country. That event is March 23 from 7 t0 8:30 p.m.

Citizens for the Preservation of St. Augustine meet at 7 p.m. March 16 at the Willie Galimore Center, 399 Riberia St. The gathering will feature a presentation on “Lost St. Augustine” by Beth Bowen and a discussion concerning the 10 most threatened places in St. Augustine.
