Armchair visit of England at Lightner

SAINT AUGUSTINE – The public is invited to learn about an exciting opportunity during a presentation hosted by Bartimus Travel Group on Tuesday, March 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Lightner Museum.  The Lightner Museum will be visiting England and its treasures including Highclere Castle, otherwise known as Downton Abbey®, from the popular PBS television series.

England’s Treasures is a 13-day trip and includes airfare, transfers, 16 meals and a donation to the Lightner Museum.  The tour departs August 13, 2017, and is $5,399 per person for a double occupancy rate. Guests will be given a guided tour by Collette Tours to Highclere Casltle, London, Buckingham Palace, Stonehenge, Cornwall Palace, Bath, Blenheim Palace, the Lake District, Ives, York, and much more!

The trip is in anticipation of Lightner Museum’s exhibition, Dressing Downton: Changing Fashions for Changing Times™, an exquisite collection of 36 original costume pieces seen on the award-winning television series Downton Abbey®.  The exhibition will be held October 4, 2017 – January 7, 2018 in the museum’s Grand Ballroom Gallery.
