Lightner sponsoring trip to England
SAINT AUGUSTINE – Join the Lightner Museum on an exciting trip on a trip to England and its treasures including Highclere Castle, otherwise known as Downton Abbey®, from the popular PBS television series.
England’s Treasures is a 13-day trip and includes airfare, transfers, 16 meals and a donation to the Lightner Museum. The tour departs August 13, 2017, and is $5,399 per person for a double occupancy rate. Guests will be given a guided tour by Collette Tours to Highclere Casltle, London, Buckingham Palace, Stonehenge, Cornwall Palace, Bath, Blenheim Palace, the Lake District, Ives, York, and much more!
The trip is in anticipation of Lightner Museum’s exhibition, Dressing Downton: Changing Fashions for Changing Times™, an exquisite collection of 36 original costume pieces seen on the award-winning television series Downton Abbey®. The exhibition will be held Oct. 4, 2017 – Jan. 7, 2018 in the museum’s Grand Ballroom Gallery.
The Lightner Museum is a non-profit cultural institution sustained by the generous support of individuals, businesses, and sponsors. The Lightner Museum will receive $200 per tour booked with Cruise One – Bartimus Travel Group.
