Visiting Rabbi series for synagogue

SAINT AUGUSTINE – First Congregation Sons of Israel, a conservative egalitarian synagogue, will be continuing the Visiting Rabbi Series. Thanks to the endowment of a friend, the congregation began in late February to have a visiting Rabbi lead Erev Shabbat and Shabbat services once or twice a month.

Continuing the series, Rabbi Barry

will lead Erev Shabbat services, 7:30 pm, Friday, April 28. Rabbi Altman has served as a spiritual leader for Beth Am of Miami, and Senior Rabbi at Beth-El in Ormond Beach.

Rabbi Joel Fox

Rabbi Joel Fox of Melbourne will be returning May 5 at 7:30 pm and on May 6 at 10 am to lead services. Rabbi Fox has been trained to served congregations both as a cantor and as a Rabbi.

Rabbi Mona

Rabbi Mona Decker

of Jacksonville will lead Shabbat services May 20 at 10 am. Rabbi Decker serves not only as a Spiritual Leader for Congregation Kehillah Chadashah but also as a member of chaplain staff for Community Hospice.
