Dine on the wild side with HAWKE

SAINT AUGUSTINE – HAWKE (Humane Association of Wildlife Care & Education), a non-profit, all-volunteer wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and release organization located in Elkton, Fl announces its 23rd Annual Dine on the Wild Side Fundraiser to be held on Saturday, May 13. The ticketed event will be held at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park, 999 Anastasia Blvd (www.alligatorfarm.com).

The public is invited to join supporters, volunteers, family and friends of HAWKE for a wild Saturday of fun and delicious food, all to raise funds to support the care of injured and orphaned Northeast Florida wildlife, according to Melanie Stage, Founder and Director of HAWKE. Stage reminds the public that the Alligator Farm is much more than just alligators. There are other animals and birds plus It is also a wild bird sanctuary. As part of the fundraising event, guests will enjoy exclusive use of the entire park from 5. – 9p.m. The event includes a guided boardwalk tour of the bird rookery where thousands of wading birds, herons, egrets, endangered wood storks and roseate spoonsbills can be viewed and photographed.

There are several ticket options and all Advance Sale Tickets include an all-day, come-and-go park pass. Discount Advance Sale Tickets are available for purchase online at http://www.hawkewildlife.org, or on April 16th at these locations:  the St. Augustine Alligator Farm gift shop, Music Matters at Riverside Plaza or at the St. Johns Vet Clinic Pet Store on US 1 North of Target.  Advance Discounted tickets may also be purchased by mailing a check (made out to HAWKE) and a self-addressed return stamped envelope to: HAWKE, P.O. Box 188, Elkton, FL 32033. Mailed checks must be received before May 8th for return mail tickets. Supporters whose checks are received after May 8th will pick up their pre-paid tickets at the Alligator Farm entrance on the day of the event.

TICKET PRICES:
Discounted prepaid Event only/no dinner ticket: $25 for ages 12 & up; $10 for children ages 5 – 11. Children ages 4 and younger are free.

At the door/event only ticket: $30 for ages 12 & up; $10 for children ages 5- 11 and those 4 or younger are free.
Discounted prepaid Dinner & Event tickets: $35 for ages 12 & up; $20 for children ages 5 – 11. Children ages 4 and younger are free.

At the door Dinner & Event tickets: $40 ages 12 & up; $25 ages 5-11. Children ages 4 and younger are free.

Food includes: meat, veggie and pasta dishes from Ned’s Southside Kitchen; veggie/stir fry and a pasta meat dish from Gypsy Cab Company; salads from The Black Molly Grill. All meals include tea. Beer and wine may be purchased from the snack bar.

HAWKE is a Florida registered non-profit organization that receives no local, state or federal government funding and relies solely on individual, corporate and community donations. The organization has been rescuing, rehabilitating, releasing and providing sanctuary for non-releasable wild birds, raptors, reptiles and native wildlife since 1987 including:  otters, bobcats, swallow-tailed kites, falcons, hawks, eagles, owls and other   wildlife.
