PALATKA – Linda Glisson is the winner of the April Photo Challenge, themed: spring. Along with winning two Florida State Park day passes, she is now automatically entered to win the 2017 Photo Challenge Grand Prize.
Ravine Gardens is hosting a Photo Challenge during each month of 2017! Each month will have a different theme, and May’s theme is insects. Bring your camera and explore the park to get the perfect shot. Get recognized and win prizes for your work! All work must be submitted with a photo release form.
Photographs must be taken within Ravine Gardens State Park. You may submit up to two photos. All photographs must be submitted in a digital format (in either a .jpg, .tif, or .png format) submitted by email to Terri.Newmans@dep.state.fl.us. Digital photographs must be a minimum resolution of 1024×768 (or higher) pixels. Contestants must also complete a Photo Release Form upon entry, which can be found online at, bit.ly/releaseform-rgsp.
Monthly Submissions will be open the first Saturday of each month, and run until the last Saturday of the month. Along with recognition, the winner will be awarded two, day entry passes good for Florida’s 174 award-winning state parks, trails and historic sites, up to 8 people for most parks, and be automatically be entered to win a grand prize at the end of the 2017 Photo Contest term. Photographs must be taken within Ravine Gardens State Park.
