Music at the beach begins May 24

SAINT AUGUSTINE BEACH – Concerts by the Sea, presented by the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association, begin Wednesday, May 24, continuing Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m.  through Sept. 13 at the St. Johns County Pier, A1A South. Along with a night of music, the event includes meals available from area restaurants.

Admission is free. Ticket price for meals is $10 or less per person. Limited parking is available at the pier. Sax Taxi and Shuttle offers shuttle services from satellite parking areas at Ron Parker Park, 607 Old Beach Road, and the St. Augustine Beach City Hall, 2200 A1A South. Hours for the shuttles are from 5:45 to 10 p.m. Shuttle is $1 each way and free for members of the Beach Civic Association.

Visitors can bring beach chairs and coolers. Well-behaved dogs are permitted as long as they are leashed. For further information call 904-347-8007.

The St. Augustine Beach schedule includes with musical groups listed first and then restaurants: June  7 – Those Guys, classic rock, Seafood Kitchen; June 14 – Ain’t Too Proud to Beg, dance, pop, Oyster Bay; June 21 – Str8-Up, disco pop, Panama Hattie’s; June 28 – Jax English Salsa Band, Latin, La Strada; July 5 – Chilula, dance pop, Mango Mango’s; July 12 – Billy Buchanan & Free Avenue, Motown and pop, By Design Catering; July 19 – Grapes of Roth, classic and new rock, Red Frog & McToad’s; July 26 – Amy Alysia & Soul Operation, R&B, pop, Raintree Restaurant; Aug. 2 – Soulfire, 70s. 80s and more, Little Margie’s; Aug.  8 – Go Get Gone, rockability, South Beach Grill; Aug. 16 – JW Gilmore & Blues Authority, blues, Blackfly; Aug. 23 – Maggie Baugh, country, Gypsy Cab; Aug. 30 – Catch the Groove, jazz, funk, R&B, Salt Life Food Shack; Sept. 6 – 15th Anniversary All Star Show, classic rock, Viola’s Pizza and Pasta; Sept. 13 – Mr. Natural, Southern and classic rock, Sunset Grille.
