SAINT AUGUSTINE – The 14th Annual Council on Aging (COA) Championship Golf and Gala is Aug. 27 at 5:30 p.m. in the River House for the Gala. The golf tournament will be held the next day, at 8:30 a.m. at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course.
“We just love to host events to bring the community together,” Becky Yanni, COA Executive Director, said. “We really rely on this event to raise funds for COA, so we can continue to provide programs for seniors in St. Johns County.”
Not only will this event be fun for all who are involved, but it contributes funds for the COA for the next year.
The COA provides programs that offer seniors companionship, meals, reduced cost or free medication, exercise, activities, field trips, transportation, supervision, and so much more. These programs work to reach COA’s goal of improving the quality of life for seniors and their caregivers.
COA is in need of participants, donations for the auction, and sponsors for the golf championship. For more information or to donate, please contact Cindy Walker at 904-209-3684 or email@example.com.
