Sheriffs present check to youth ranch
FLAGLER COUNTY – Sheriff Rick Staly and members of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office presented a check for $9,081 to Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches.
When Sheriff Staly took office in January, he gave employees the option to donate to the charity each pay period to be allowed to have a goatee or dress down on Fridays. This amount represents what Flagler Sheriff’s employees have donated since Sheriff Staly took office in January through June of this year.
“I’m proud to present this check to such a wonderful organization,” Staly said. “And I’m thankful to my employees for partnering with me in support of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.”
Staly is on the Board of Directors of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches. The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches program, which began in 1957 by a small group of Florida sheriffs to provide residential care for troubled youths, is supported by the Florida Sheriff’s Association (FSA).
