PALATKA – The Arts Council of Greater Palatka presents its next Spring and Summer Concert Series at the Palatka River Front Amphitheater. With ‘The Dean Parrish Project’ performing Saturday, July 29 from 7 to 8:30 pm. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Dean Parrish Project is a trio of talented musicians consisting of Mike Hamm on bass guitar and vocals, Michael Barady on drums, and Dean Parrish on guitar and vocals. The band sprang up as an extension of the solo acoustic work Dean had been performing in the area. The rhythm section of Hamm and Barady were a natural choice considering their history with Parrish in past bands together, pick-up gigs, and many jam sessions.
Together, the Dean Parrish Project enjoy playing a fun mix of songs that can be described as, “From Blues to the Beatles”, with some of Parrish’s originals thrown into the mix. As always we encourage you to come early and enjoy Palatka before the concert by perhaps having dinner at one of our downtown restaurants or visit one of our local shops.
Concerts at the Larimer are supported in part by The City of Palatka, memberships, the Putnam County Tourist Development Council, the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture.
