Concerts in the Plaza, St. Augustine’s free summer music series, returns for its 28th season May 31, serving up some of the best musical entertainment in northeast Florida.
The series includes 14 weeks of two-hour concerts held every Thursday from The Gazebo in the Plaza de la Constitución starting at 7 p.m. from May 31 through Aug. 30. For complete information visit www.CityStAug.com/Concerts.
In observance of Earth Day 2018 and in conjunction its focus on diverting recyclable items away from the landfill, the City of St. Augustine Public Works Department is coordinating a one-day community recycle and education event on Wednesday, April 25. This free event for residents takes place as a drive through service, on the north side of Francis Field, 25 West Castillo Drive from 7:30 am until 2:30 pm..
Participants are encouraged to drop off outdated and broken “E-waste” (electronic devices) such as computers, printers, laptops, and cell phones. This is also a time to properly dispose of used cooking oil, such as vegetable oil, peanut oil, canola oil, etc.

Beginning April 30 and continuing through May 3 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. sections of Cordova Street from Saragossa to Carrera; and a section of Cuna Street from Cordova to Spanish will be closed concurrently to accommodate Sanitary Sewer Main Replacement Construction. The streets will remain open for pedestrian and local traffic ONLY. Detour routes will be established for all other traffic.
