SAINT AUGUSTINE:

Water Taxi: Beginning May 26, the City of St. Augustine is partnering with Waxi Taxi to provide a taxi service from the St. Augustine Municipal Marina to the Vilano Pier. The service will run every Saturday between Memorial and Labor Day Weekend from 11:00am to 6:15pm. Pickup and drop-offs will be every half hour. The cost will be $8 one way or $14 round trip.

Open House: The City of St. Augustine will host an open house of the historic Waterworks Building in Davenport Park, San Marco Avenue, as part of National Historic Preservation MOnth. The event continues from 10 a.m. to noon May 26 at 184 San Marco Ave., allowing the public to see the interior of the building, which was closed in 2005. Bridge Rehab: Beginning May 16, the Florida Department of Transportation will begin bridge rehabilitation on the Bridge of Lions. The work includes cosmetic improvements, cleaning, painting and electrical work.

Women’s Networking: The next Women’ns Networking Luncheon continues from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 16 at Terra & Acqua, 134 Sea Grove Main St., St. Augustine Beach. Cost is $15 plus tip for luncheon.

There is also a Women’s Networking Morning Meeting the fourth Tuesday of each month at City Coffee.

Wilano Beach Main Street: St. Johns County Staff will discuss plans for Mussallem property when the Vilano Beach Main Street group meets at 4 p.m. May 16 at 95 Vilano Road – Hampton Inn & Suites.

Main Street program strategies will also be on the agenda.
